It is a natural human emotion to feel fear. Who isn’t fearful of something at one point or another in life? Do you think Harriet Tubman wasn’t fearful when she led slaves to freedom? Do you think the elders in our community were not afraid when they fought for justice and equality during the civil rights movement? They were regular people just like you and me, but they pushed past the fear, kept the faith, and were able to move mountains and accomplish extraordinary things.

You see the problem isn’t being fearful. It’s when we live in fear that can be a problem. It can stop us right in our tracks from reaching a much greater destination. Living in fear can be limiting. I know, because there are plenty of goals and dreams I have not even attempted to go after all because of fear. The older I get the more I realize that I can no longer allow it to have such a tight grip. Have you allowed it to hold you back?
Fear of not being good enough. Fear of failure. Fear that you don’t have it in you to reach the full potential God has for you. Ask yourself this…what great things would you try to accomplish in your life if you were not afraid? No longer allow yourself to be fear’s victim. Your heavenly father has not given you the spirit of fear. It’s time to live!
Isaiah 41:10 KJV-Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Deuteronomy 31:6 KJV Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
