Prayer is essential to a Christian’s life. What salt is to pepper, what peanut butter is to jelly, what collard greens is to cornbread, prayer and a believer go hand in hand. There is power in a praying woman. It helps give a firm foundation to stand on. Do you have an active prayer? If not, it’s never too late to start.
Prayer is not all about praying when you need something or when a situation arises that has you stressed. It is about having constant communication with God. He is your heavenly father and as his child you need to hear from him as he wants to hear from you. Communication is key to any relationship, especially in the most important relationship in your life, the one with your creator.
You don’t have to be afraid to go to God in prayer. Humble yourself before him and speak from your heart. You’re not speaking to the air when you pray. There is a real God up there who hears you. He hears your prayers and he hears your cries. Prayer is powerful. It can truly change things and move mountains. Have faith and believe that you are speaking to a God who can do all things.
Prayer can be a time to seek God’s guidance and to ask for forgiveness. It can be a time to pray for others and a time to speak what’s on your heart. Jeremiah 29:12-13 “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Prayer can change things. It is powerful and can make such a difference in your life. It’s never too late to start making prayer a part of your day.
