What’s On Your Mind?
We are told that the mind is the intellect. The mind is where we feel. It is where we think. The mind is where we make our decisions. The mind is a powerful thing. Whether we allow our thinking to be positive or negative, the truth is that there is power in it. That’s why it’s important for us as women of God to fill our minds with what is positive. Yes, that can be very tough to do especially in this hot mess of a world, but we still have to be careful about what we allow our minds to dwell on.
Allowing negativity to take first place in our thoughts can be detrimental to our progress. It can also be detrimental to our health, add unnecessary stress, and keep us held back from doing God’s will for our lives. Think about it for a second. If you eat burgers and fries every day it will eventually catch up to you. You are feeding your body what it doesn’t need and the effects of that can be dangerous. If you change that and decide to fill your body with fruits and vegetables, you will see the healthy changes in not only the way you look but also feel.
The same can be said about our minds. If you fill it with junk and negativity, then it shapes your world and reality. We have to fill our minds with thinking which elevates us rather than be a hindrance. Keep your mind nourished with positivity and on things that are healthy to your spirit.
Romans 12:1-2 KJV, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. ”
So today, I ask, what’s on your mind?
