The Importance of A True Friend!
It’s easy to forget the importance that friendship can have in our lives. Oftentimes the older we get, the fewer people we call friends. Typically children are quick to call their classmates and those around their same age friends. Even if they have only known that child for five minutes on the playground. By the time they are done running around and going down the slide, they are calling each other friends. However, as adults, the less we throw that word around and realize that friendship can be a little more complicated than that. We learn over time that not everyone who claims to be your friend, actually is.
That’s why when a friendship is real, it should be cherished regardless of how busy this thing called adulting and life can be. A true friend will motivate you and be a cheerleader. Someone, you can be authentic around and tell all your secrets to in confidence. You know she will not go around telling all your business and will be a shoulder to lean on. As a matter of fact, she is at the door holding the tissue waiting on you to let it all out in the moments you don’t feel your best. You can be yourself around her. It’s a no judgement zone and she listens to you, but loves you enough to tell you what you need to hear.

She will encourage your greatness and participate in it. She will hold your hand through the good and the bad. She will be your cheerleader at your best and will cheer even louder when you are at your worst. Who you walk with has an impact on your life. If you have a friend that encourages and pours positivity in your life, remember to cherish the relationship.
Don’t let life keep you so busy that you don’t put in the work to keep the friendship alive, because a true friend is really hard to find!
