Add to that the cultural foods we grew up on, the stress we’ve normalized, and the responsibilities we shoulder daily, and it’s no surprise that this weight often shows up in our health. We are disproportionately affected by health conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes just to name a few.
