Crown Membership Terms and Conditions


11. Membership Definition

Crown Membership is a paid membership offered by Living In Queendom LLC, designed to uplift and connect Black women across North Carolina through intentional sisterhood, visibility, and a faith-rooted community. This space centers motivation, empowerment, and meaningful connection through curated gatherings, shared resources, and social support.

By enrolling, members agree to the terms outlined below, which govern participation, conduct, content submissions, business features, events (in-person and virtual), and cancellation policies.

Membership renews annually unless canceled in advance.

2. Member Conduct

Crown Membership is a values-based community rooted in mutual respect, faith, and authentic connection. Members are expected to uphold the mission and values of Living In Queendom LLC, including respect, integrity, and thoughtful engagement. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Discrimination or harassment of any kind
  • Use of abusive, offensive, or inappropriate language
  • Misrepresentation of identity, affiliation, or business credentials
  • Disruption of community spaces or events

Violation of these standards may result in immediate termination of membership without refund. Members will be notified in writing if their membership is terminated due to a violation.

3. Content Submission and Participation

Members may be invited to submit content or participate in Living In Queendom LLC media platforms. By participating, members agree to the following:

  • Consent: Written consent (digital or otherwise) is required for any feature or content submission.
  • Ownership: Members must own the rights to any submitted photos or written materials.
  • Editing: Living In Queendom LLC reserves the right to edit submitted content for clarity, length, and style.
  • Usage Rights: Members grant Living In Queendom LLC permission to use, edit, and distribute submitted content across its platforms.
  • Liability: Living In Queendom LLC is not responsible for third-party misuse or redistribution of published content, or for violations of intellectual property or privacy rights.

4. Business Feature Requirements

Members who wish to have their business featured in Living In Queendom LLC publications (newsletters, podcasts, blog posts, etc.) must meet the following criteria:

  • Legal Registration: The business must be legally registered in its operating state or jurisdiction.
  • Accuracy of Information: Members must provide truthful and accurate business information, including name, website, contact details, and service descriptions.
  • Brand Alignment: Living In Queendom LLC reserves the right to decline feature requests for businesses that do not align with its mission, values, or community standards.

Aligned Businesses Include:

  • Businesses offering services to women
  • Businesses selling clothing, merchandise, or personal empowerment resources

Not Aligned With the Platform:

  • Businesses that promote or profit from exploitative, harmful, or discriminatory practices
  • Businesses rooted in spiritual practices that conflict with the platform’s faith-based foundation (e.g., astrology, tarot, energy healing, ancestral rituals)
  • Businesses that center sexual content, adult entertainment, or explicit imagery
  • Businesses operating under multi-level marketing (MLM) or pyramid-style sales structures
  • Businesses promoting political ideologies or affiliations that undermine Black liberation, women’s rights, or community safety

Promotional Use: Featured businesses grant Living In Queendom LLC permission to use submitted materials (logos, photos, descriptions) for promotional purposes.

Third-Party Liability: Living In Queendom LLC cannot be held responsible for business outcomes, customer disputes, or liabilities resulting from products or services featured.

5. Event Participation (In-Person & Virtual)

Crown Membership hosts gatherings—both in-person and virtual—designed to foster connection, reflection, and community among Black women. These may include group meetups, virtual forums, workshops, and discussion-based sessions. By attending, members agree to:

  • Respectful Engagement: Participants are expected to engage with care, confidentiality, and respect for others.
  • Media Consent: Photos and short video clips may be taken during events (both in-person and virtual) for promotional and archival purposes. By attending, members acknowledge and accept that their image or voice may be captured and used in promotional materials, including but not limited to social media, websites, and newsletters.

In-Person Event Terms:

Living In Queendom LLC partners with third-party venues for in-person events and is not responsible for:

  • Accidents, injuries, or medical emergencies
  • Property damage, theft, or personal loss
  • Accessibility limitations or venue-specific restrictions

Members attend at their own discretion and are encouraged to exercise personal caution. They are also responsible for adhering to any venue-specific safety protocols or event guidelines.

Food & Vendor Disclaimer: Events may include refreshments or products from third-party vendors. Living In Queendom LLC does not directly prepare or serve food and is not liable for:

  • Allergic reactions or food sensitivities
  • Illness or injury from food/beverage consumption
  • Mislabeling or misinformation by vendors

Members are responsible for reviewing ingredients and making informed choices.

Personal Responsibility: Members are responsible for their own well-being, conduct, and belongings at all events. Living In Queendom LLC is not liable for interpersonal disputes, emotional distress, or unforeseen circumstances.

Virtual Event Terms: All standards outlined above (respectful engagement, media consent, personal responsibility) also apply to virtual events. Members are expected to protect the privacy of discussions, avoid disruptive behavior, and refrain from recording or sharing content without express permission.

6. Community Disclaimer

Crown Membership is a faith-rooted membership community created for Black women in North Carolina. It is not a therapeutic space and does not offer professional counseling or mental health services. Members participate voluntarily and are encouraged to seek licensed support when needed.

This space centers social connection and intentional community rooted in Christian values, where members gather to be seen, supported, and celebrated. Members release Living In Queendom LLC from liability related to personal decisions, emotional outcomes, or interpretations of shared content.

7. External Interactions

Living In Queendom LLC is not liable for any interactions, transactions, or disputes between members or businesses that occur outside of official Living In Queendom channels. Members waive any claims against Living In Queendom LLC related to such engagements.

Members are responsible for representing the values and mission of Living In Queendom LLC only while participating in events or activities directly hosted by the organization.

8. Membership Fees and Cancellation

  • Non-Refundable: All membership fees are final. As the membership provides access to exclusive content and events, all fees are non-refundable.
  • Cancellation: Members may cancel anytime through their account dashboard. Cancellation is immediate and prevents future renewal.
  • Renewal: Membership automatically renews annually unless canceled beforehand.

9. Withdrawal from Participation

Members may withdraw consent to participate in any feature or content opportunity by emailing membership@livinginqueendom.com at least ten (10) days prior to the scheduled publication or recording date. Living In Queendom LLC reserves the right to revoke participation privileges for violations of these terms.


10. Changes to Terms

Living In Queendom LLC reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any significant changes via email and official communication channels.
