Midweek Crown Maintenance Check: We’re Halfway Through the Week

Welcome to this Crown Maintenance Check. Midweek is the perfect time to pause, reset, and make sure you’re caring for your mind, body, and spirit. Grab your water, take a deep breath, and let’s see how you are doing doing this week.

1. Hydration Check

Queen… are you keeping yourself hydrated this week. Not with frappuccinos, sweet tea, or that cup of Kool‑Aid that tastes like childhood. No, this is the kind of hydration your body really needs that will never leave you thirsty. Just like your body needs water, your spirit needs the Living Water. God’s presence that refreshes you in ways nothing else can. When you slow down long enough to drink, breathe, and be still, you make room for Him to pour back into you.

2. Boundary Check

Did you say “yes” when your spirit was whispering, “Girl… are you sure about this.” Your boundaries are the gates around your well‑being. They let in what nourishes you and block what drains you. Every time you honor a boundary, you honor your growth. You don’t have to apologize for protecting your time, your energy, or your emotional space. A woman who honors her boundaries is a woman who honors her worth.

3. Body & Joy Check

Have you stretched your body, stepped outside for a slow walk, or taken one real, grown‑woman breath lately? Your body keeps the receipts, every rush, every “I’ll rest later,” every time you tried to power through like you weren’t tired. Treat your body like the vessel carrying you into your next season, not the overworked machine you use to survive this one.

And while you’re at it, give yourself a little joy too. Maybe it’s that song you play like it’s your personal theme music, a snack you don’t share with anybody, or five quiet minutes where you finally sit down and just chill. Sometimes the smallest moments whisper, “Sis… you deserve this. Life is life‑ing, but you still get to enjoy something today.”

4. Business Check

Are you minding your business… or did you let somebody pull you into gossip and unnecessary chatter you didn’t ask for.
It happens quick with a “girl, did you hear…” and suddenly you’re in a storyline you didn’t audition for, didn’t pay to watch, and definitely don’t need in your spirit. Distraction is expensive, and you don’t have the budget for everybody’s drama. Bring your attention back to what actually feeds you not what drains you.

5. Scripture Check

Have you actually sat with your Word lately and not rushed through it, not skimmed it, but really let it speak to you? Even one chapter, read with intention, can feed your spirit. Scripture isn’t something to “get through”; it’s something to rest in. It slows you down, recenters you, and brings your mind and heart back into alignment. Let the Word steady you before the world starts tugging at you from every direction.

So straighten your crown, take a sip of that water, and remember you’re still beautifully becoming, even on a Wednesday.
This is your reminder to breathe, reset, and step back into your week with intention.
Your peace is precious, your growth is showing, and your crown is still sitting just fine.
