Carol’s Daughter Has a New Chapter! Lisa Price Is Back in the Kitchen

Carol’s Daughter has been dressing and blessing tresses for decades! From natural curls and coils to finding the right products for our haircare routines, the beloved beauty brand has been a familiar name in Black beauty for years. But like many businesses, Carol’s Daughter has gone through some changes along the way.

Now, founder Lisa Price is stepping into a new chapter with the brand she started in her Brooklyn kitchen back in 1993. After years under corporate ownership, Lisa has returned as an owner and president of Carol’s Daughter. And she’s bringing things back to the kitchen with the launch of Lisa’s Kitchen Scalp & Edge Care, a four-product collection created for waves, curls, and coils.

The collection puts the focus on caring for our scalps and edges, featuring ingredients such as nettle leaf, soursop, and lavender, along with skincare-inspired ingredients like ceramides and niacinamide. Because, we can spend all day perfecting a style, but caring for the foundation underneath matters, too!

Lisa’s return marks a new chapter for a brand that grew from a small Brooklyn kitchen into a recognizable name in Black beauty. And if you’ve followed her journey, you know there’s a story behind the products that goes beyond what’s sitting on the bathroom shelf.
